Myles Garrett’s suspension upheld after accusing former OSU Quarterback Mason Rudolph of racial slur
The NFL “found no such evidence” that Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph directed a racial slur at Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett just prior to last week’s brawl, league spokesman Brian McCarthy said Thursday.
Garrett made the allegation during an appeal hearing with the NFL on Wednesday, sources told ESPN’s Josina Anderson and Adam Schefter. espn.com
Cowgirl soccer prepares for prepare for offensive powerhouse Santa Clara in second round of national tournament
On Friday, the Cowgirls will take on Santa Clara, which ranks seventh nationally in offense, averaging 2.67 goals per game.
OSU and Santa Clara meet at 1 p.m. Friday at Soni McAlister Field on the Southern Cal campus in Los Angeles.
“It’s a big challenge as far as when you try to put together your gameplan and how you’re going to execute,” OSU coach Colin Carmichael said. “South Dakota State, we knew coming in that they were a very tough team to score and create chances against.
“Santa Clara is the complete opposite. They get lots of numbers into the attack and have two very special forwards.” The Oklahoman
