It will be the second time OSU coach Mike Gundy has faced off against Jimbo Fisher in his career. The last time was in 2014 the year after Fisher took Florida State to the National Championship. Gundy took the loss in that game 37-31.
This year the Aggies are 7-5 with a 4-4 record in the SEC. In year two under Fisher, the Aggies were just meh. That’s the best way to describe them. They played two out of the four teams in the College Football Playoffs losing to both with a 24-10 loss to Clemson and a 50-7 loss to the LSU Tigers. They’ll be coming into the game against the Cowboys after back-to-back losses to Georgia and the LSU game I mentioned earlier.
The Cowboys currently are on a four-game win streak against the Aggies from 2008 to 2l011 but A&M has a 17-10 lead in the series.
