It’s high noon...

Two captains earn first All- Big 12 honors:

Congratulations are in order for Lindy Waters and Cam McGriff. They were both named honorable mentions on the All- Big 12 team. This is the first time either of them have made the list.

These are the first career conference awards for McGriff and Waters, who stepped into the spotlight for the Cowboys in 2018-19. OSU has now had at least two players represented on the All-Big 12 team or the Associated Press All-Big 12 team since the league began in 1996-97.

With 12.4 points and 7.4 rebounds per game, McGriff led the Cowboys in both scoring and rebounding. His 7.4 rebounds per game rank third among all Big 12 players, and the Grand Prairie, Texas, native is responsible for 24 of Oklahoma State’s 40 charges taken this season. McGriff’s next appearance will be his 100th in a Cowboy uniform.

Waters shot 45.3 percent from 3-point in 2018-19, which ranks third in the conference, and his 90.8 percent free throw mark is second. The key to OSU’s versatility, Waters played nearly every position on the floor in nearly every game. A native of Norman, Okla., Waters now has 136 career 3-pointers - which ranks 15th in OSU history - at a 41.8 percent clip, which is good for sixth best in school history. {okstate.com}
