Also, how awesome is it that Alan Bratton is caddying for Viktor Hovland today?

NINE Cowboy pitchers combined to shut out the Wichita State Shockers 1-0 last night. A Noah Sifrit RBI single was the difference in the game. The Cowboys will travel a little further north in Kansas to take on the Jayhawks in Lawrence this weekend.
If you know me (hoping you looked at the byline to see how wrote this), I am a nerd for the game of baseball. Bullpenning is a fairly new concept that is being utilized in baseball, and the Cowboys worked it perfectly yesterday. Is it a sustainable way to win? Not always, I don’t recommend running nine different pitchers out there every game. That being said, it does work and you can win ballgames by doing so. Those nine pitchers combined to scatter seven hits and strikeout nine, and get the shutout. With some of the experimenting Coach Holliday has done this season, this was one of the successful ones.

Mason Cox’s star continues to grow in Australia. He hosted members of the US Embassy in Canberra at the Collingwood FC facility yesterday. Also, he’s picked up that incredible Australian accent so that is cool as well.
