Cowgirls ready for challenge of facing the defending National Champions:

The Cowgirls are in Tallahassee for their Super Regional where they’ll face defending National Champions Florida State. Head coach Kenny Gajewski said his team is ready to play the best.

“I’ve got a lot of respect for the staff and what they’ve done here, but we come in here with high hopes,” Gajewski said during a news conference Wednesday in Florida. “We feel like we’re a team that’s as good as anybody in the country and we’re looking forward to a chance to prove that. We’re led by kind of a unique mixture of seniors and freshmen and a couple of sophomores.

“Our program does things in a way that some people love and some people don’t, and we’re going to stay true to who we are and what we do. We’re proud to represent OSU, our fans, and our school, and we’re looking forward to playing.” {Tulsa World}

Oklahoma State Baseball commit named Gatorade Player of the Year:

Westmoore High School pitcher Kale Davis was honored as Oklahoma’s Gatorade Player of the year. The Oklahoma State commit had a .36 ERA and 94 strikeouts this past year.

James Washington heads into second season with sense of urgency:

ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler caught up with James Washington at Pittsburgh Steeler camp. Washington told Fowler that he’s cut 15 pounds this offseason and is looking to go into 2019 focused.
