It’s high noon on Friday...

Tom Hutton reconnects with an old friend:

This is a fantastic story from ESPN Australia about Oklahoma State punter Tom Hutton and TCU punter Jordy Sandy and their reconnected friendship after their both went from working in a mill in Australia to chasing their dreams playing college football.

What makes Hutton’s story even more amazing is the fact he has a great mate following almost exactly the same path. Inspired by Hutton, a former workmate at the paper mill, Jordan Sandy, joined his friend at Prokick and was soon signed by Texas Christian University, a fellow Big 12 school. Incredibly, the two teams with their Australian punters will lock horns when they meet on November 2 in Stillwater.

Hutton and Sandy met in a massive tin shed while working with a Jagenberg Vari-Dur - a machine similar to the size of a caravan that is designed to cut three tonne reels of paper into multiple smaller reels to be made into envelopes. {ESPN}

Jensen Elliott deals in 5-0 win against Baylor:

The Pokes will play on Saturday for a chance at the Big 12 Tournament Final in OKC. Hallie Hart of the O’Colly detailed how Elliott’s performance got his team the win.

Jensen Elliott could anticipate the familiar swings.

He stood in a minor-league park instead of his home stadium, but he faced the same batters he saw during the past week.

This time, Elliott, a junior right-handed pitcher on the Oklahoma State baseball team, didn’t let any of them cross home plate.

Shortly after midnight Friday, the Cowboys cruised past Baylor 5-0 for their second straight Big 12 Tournament victory in Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. OSU defeated the Bears for the third time this season.

The third-seeded Cowboys will have a rematch with either second-seeded Baylor or sixth-seeded Texas Christian University at 12:30 p.m. Saturday.

As the Cowboys’ starter and winning pitcher, Elliott allowed two hits, walked one batter and threw four strikeouts. When he pitched against the Bears on May 17 in OSU’s last regular-season game, he threw nine innings and surrendered four runs, though he earned the win. {O’Colly}
