Likekele talks his experience with team USA this summer:

Issac Likekele had a fantastic opportunity to this summer to play with the USA U19 basketball team in the World Cup. He plans to use that experience to sharpen his skills this upcoming season with Oklahoma State writes the Oklahoman’s Hallie Hart.

“I went over there on USA, and I’m the older guy on the team,” Likekele said. “And they’re looking to me like, ‘What are we supposed to do next?’ especially whenever it got close in the championship game.”

Likekele didn’t mind coming off the bench for Team USA, though he started every game as a Cowboy freshman. With their attention fixed on securing the trophy, he and his USA teammates didn’t worry about who played the most minutes or made the biggest difference. They quickly forged close friendships despite spending less than a month together.” {The Oklahoman}
