Former Oklahoma State basketball standout Jeffrey Carroll signed with Italian club Bergamo Basket 2014, he announced Saturday on Twitter.

Bergamo plays in Italy’s Serie A2, the country’s second division. The club advanced to the league semifinals this past season, and could receive a boost with Carroll to content for promotion to Serie A next season.

In his first professional season in 2018-19, Carroll averaged 9.7 points and 2.8 rebounds per game in 24 games (11 starts) for the South Bay Lakers, the Los Angeles Lakers’ G League affiliate. Carroll averaged 5.7 points on 31 percent shooting while seeing 12.7 minutes per game in three contests in July at the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas. He signed an Exhibit 10 deal with the Lakers last summer after going undrafted.

Carroll averaged 15.4 points and 6.2 rebounds per game as a senior at OSU, but his best campaign came as a junior, when he averaged 17.5 and 6.6 for the Cowboys’ 2017 NCAA tournament team.
