Kansas State looks for third consecutive win over Cowboys

Mike Gundy has a history of close games with the Wildcats, and their new coach Chris Klieman makes matters more difficult.

Kansas State has the better defense and a new coach — Chris Klieman — who is very, very good at winning.

In three seasons as a North Dakota State assistant, he won three FCS national championship rings. In five seasons as the Bison head man, he was 69-6 with four more national titles and two NFL draft picks at quarterback (Carson Wentz and Easton Stick).

Against K-State, Oklahoma State has undeniable talent advantages at quarterback (Spencer Sanders), tailback (Chuba Hubbard) and the receiving positions, but the previous two Cowboys teams squandered the same advantages. Tulsa World

Bo Van Pelt returns to PGA Tour

Former Cowboy golfer Bo Van Pelt made his first on the PGA Tour since a torn labrum nearly ended his career three and a half years ago.

When Bo Van Pelt first walked onto the driving range at Silverado Country Club this week, he got some curious looks.

“About 10 guys looked at me like, I never thought I’d see you again,” the 44-year-old said from Napa, Calif. “They were like What are you doing here? Are you playing?
