Cameron McGriff scored his 1,000 career point for Oklahoma State Cowboys in the Cowboys’ 73-62 win against Texas A&M Aggies on Saturday at Reed Arena in College Station, Texas.
McGriff, who entered the game one point away from 1,000, reached the milestone with a put back dunk in the second half to become the 43rd player to do so. He’s the second Cowboy player to score his 1,000th point this season, joining Lindy Waters III who got there on Jan. 6.

McGriff got in foul trouble early and didn’t play his normal minutes. He would end the game with 6 points after going a perfect 4 for 4 at the charity stripe and then the dunk.
In addition to McGriff’s accomplishment, the Cowboys snapped a six-game losing streak with their first win since they beat Southeastern Louisiana on Dec. 29 in Stillwater.
Issac Likekele led OSU with 13 points on 6-of-9 shooting from inside the arc, including doing this in the second half.

One of the things that stood out in this game? 22 assists as a team. And the guys that got passed to were doing something with the ball. The ball movement was much improved.
Overall, the Cowboys shot 55.1% (42.1% from 3). At one point in the second half, they led by 21.
On defense, Yor Anei had four blocks and five defensive rebounds . Anei helped on the other side of the floor as well with 11 points.
Three Aggies ended the game in double-digits. Emanuel Miller, Josh Nebo and Quenton Jackson all scored 11 for Texas A&M.
Next up, the Cowboys will take on the Kansas Jayhawks in Gallagher-Iba on Monday.
