For National Signing Day this year, Oklahoma State chose to theme their graphics around the video game Tecmo Bowl. The game is a hit of nostalgia for anyone that grew up in the 80s and 90s. The graphics are always the talk of social media when signing day rolls around, and Oklahoma State put themselves in the midst of that conversation with their wonderfully executed theme. People from around the Twittersphere took commented on the work Oklahoma State put out.

KOCO sports anchor Carson Cunningham noted the improvements that have been made:

National CFB writers gave props as well:

Stadium writer (and OSU alumn) Brett McMurphy said he loved the salute to the old school video game.

Even Brian Davis who covers the Texas Longhorns for the Austin American Statesman gave props to the staff:

The coaches reacted as well:

The fanbase took notice too.

OSU reporter Jessica Morrey shouted out the team as well:

All around Twitter people were saying how much they absolutely loved the idea:

Job well done to all involved. These are honestly the most talked about signing day graphics that I can remember since I’ve been covering the team. If we’re being honest it’s something that I think has always been missing and this year they hit the ball out of the park.
