Christian Holmes will transfer from Missouri to Oklahoma State, the cornerback announced Monday. OSU running back Chuba Hubbard leaked the news last week.

Holmes, a former three-star prospect from the 2016 class, was expected to compete for a starting spot with the Tigers in 2020 before entering the transfer portal. He had 29 tackles and four passes defended in 12 games this past season. His production was a slight dip from his 2018 campaign when he had 35 tackles, 12 passes defended and two interceptions.
Holmes is a great addition to a position group that is mostly underclassmen for 2020. While Rodarius Williams will bring 39 starts to the cornerback group, behind him Thomas Harper is the only other player with meaningful on-field experience. So adding someone like Holmes will only bolster a talented — but young — group.
