It’s high noon...
Tracin and Tylan Wallace are together through it all:
The NFL Draft wrote a fantastic feature on the Wallace twins and the very different paths their careers have gone. But despite that, they’ve remained inseparable.
As Tylan’s star rose, Tracin’s needed redirection.
Two careers once appearing destined to stay in lockstep veered in opposite directions, bittersweet for the family.
For Tylan, it was fuel.
He’d begun the season looking to show what he could do; he finished it feeling compelled to show what Tracin should have done. His position coach, Kasey Dunn, didn’t offer Tylan much guidance on compartmentalizing the fate of his twin brother’s career, instead choosing to let him find his mental footing on his own. {NFL Draft}
Grace Yochum offensive player of the week:
Oklahoma State soccer earned a player on the Big 12’s player of the week list. After a fantastic showing in the Cowgirls’ game against Iowa State, she was voted a offensive player of the week.
Yochum, a junior midfielder, played all 90 minutes against the Cyclones and scored on a penalty kick at the 86:34 mark to lift the Cowgirls to a 2-1 win over ISU in their home opener at Neal Patterson Stadium. With the score, Yochum has now netted a goal in six consecutive games dating back to last season. Her two goals this season is tied for the Big 12 lead. {okstate.com}
Thomas and Gundy get to know one another:
Thurman Thomas is scheduled to be inducted into he Oklahoma State Ring of Honor this weekend. As part of the festivities, him and head coach Mike Gundy have been getting to know each other.
“I don’t know him as well as probably I should know him,” Thomas said. “And that’s something that I’m looking forward to. I would love to sit down and have a conversation with Mike Gundy, like I have a conversation with Melvin Gilliam, like I have a conversation with Curtis Luper, Hart Lee Dykes.
“I have conversations with those guys, so I know them a little better. With Gundy doing his thing at Oklahoma State, that’s just not an opportunity for me to sit down all the time and talk to him. I love Mike Gundy. {oklahoman}
