“Excited to announce I’m returning to Stillwater for my final year of eligibility,” Sills said. “Can’t wait to get back with my brothers. It’s time to work and get ready for the 2021 season.”
It was initially thought that Sills would take advantage of the free year of eligibility and come back next season. Sills said in a Tweet on December 21st that he had not made an official decision on returning to the team. This afternoon’s announcement makes it official.
Josh Sills graduate transferred to Oklahoma State from West Virginia last season. Sills had to move around the offensive line last season due to injuries but his play was among the most consistent of the OSU offensive linemen last season.
The Pokes lost top offensive lineman Tevin Jenkins to the NFL Draft, but Sills announcement today is certainly a step in the right direction. The experienced graduate transfer should provide some much-needed leadership at the position, just as he did last season.
