Jarrick Bernard-Converse has entered the transfer portal according to multiple sources. The cornerback from Shreveport started 47 games in his four years in Stillwater and was an All-Big 12 first team this year with 51 tackles, 11 pass deflections.
In total, Bernard-Converse had 195 tackles, 7.5 for loss, 24 pass deflections, four sacks and two interceptions. Bernard-Converse was originally a three-star recruit from Evangel Christian Academy in Shreveport, Louisiana and a four-year starter for Oklahoma State.

This does appear to be the likely reason, as this is a common thing for Pre-Vet majors to do.
According to 247 Sports, LSU is expected to make a push for the cornerback to bring him back to his home state. As well as others. Bernard-Converse enters the portal as a grad transfer.
