A Super Regional Tournament is coming to Stillwater, America after Kelly Maxwell pitched seven shutout innings.

Oklahoma State defeated North Texas 2-0 to finish 3-0 in the Stillwater Regional and advance to a best-of-three Super Regional against No. 14 Clemson. The Cowgirls will host Clemson on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday if the third game is necessary.

Maxwell allowed North Texas just two hits and struck out 15 Mean Green batters to improve to 18-4 on the season. Miranda Elish hit the go-ahead home run in the sixth inning and Morgyn Wynne reached on an error in the seventh inning to score Brianna Evans.

The Cowgirls topped Forham 12-0 in five innings in the first game of the Stillwater Regional and beat No. 25 Nebraska 7-4 before the Regional clinching win against North Texas. Oklahoma State hasn’t lost since a five-game losing streak against No. 4 Florida State and No. 1 Oklahoma in back-to-back road trips to close out the regular season. The Cowgirls are undefeated in postseason play with wins over Kansas, No. 16 Texas and OU in the Big 12 Tournament and the sweep of the Stillwater Regional.

Florida State was defeated by Mississippi State 4-3 on its home field as one of several Regional Tournament hosts to not advance to the Super Regional round. The Seminoles were ranked No. 2 in the nation and would have hosted a Super Regional. Instead, Mississippi State will host Arizona, who upset No. 15 Missouri, in the Starkville Super Regional.

The Stillwater Super Regional will be on the air with first pitch from Cowgirl Stadium being broadcast live on ESPN2 on Thursday night at 8:00. The Cowgirls will be live on ESPN2 on Friday night as well with first pitch scheduled for 5:00.
