Oklahoma State to reportedly take on UConn in Big East-Big 12 Battle

The games for this year’s Big East abd Big 12 Battle are set, with Oklahoma State facing off against UConn, according to CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein. This will be the second time these two teams have faced off against each other, with the first coming as an 80-64 win over U Conn in December 1970. This season will mark the fourth year of the Big East-Big 12 Battle. There will be plenty of big time games and that is what makes this event so good.

Oklahoma State is coming off last season in which they went only15-15 overall, 8-10 in conference play. The Pokes fell to Xavier in Stillwater in last year’s Big 12-Big East Battle, 77-71, beat Marquette 70-62 on the road in 2020 and lost to Georgetown 81-74 in the first year of the Battle in 2019.

The Cowboys will have a much different looking roster come the start of the 2022 season. Bryce Williams graduated, Isaac Likekele hit the transfer portal and landed at Ohio State as a grad transfer, both Keylan Boone and Donovan Williams transferred to Pacific, Matthew-Alexander Moncrieffe transferred to Georgia and Rondel Walker has yet to decide on a landing spot.
