Stillwater, OK- Oklahoma State’s brazen and brash wrestler AJ Ferrari has been released from the Cowboy wrestling team. \
There are reports he was released as early as July 1st or as late as July 11th, but an announcement was not released until today.
The likely main reason why this is happening is due to a report from the Stillwater Police
Department that was released today at 3 pm Central.
The Stillwater PD issued this statement:
“On Saturday, July 2, 2022, at 4 p.m. Stillwater Police Department responded to a report of a sexual assault investigation that occurred within our jurisdiction. The suspect in the case has been identified as, Albert James Ferrari Jr. The case is currently under investigation by our Criminal Investigations Unit. SPD is committed to thoroughly investigating these cases. Once the investigation is complete the case will be submitted to the Payne County District Attorney’s Office for consideration of filling charges.”
On July 5th, Ferrari was served a protective order by a woman named Ashtin Marie Martinez.
The disposition information is currently pending. Here is a statement from the protective order “I tried shoving him off of me and it didn’t work. ... I asked him to stop over and over.”
The sexual assualt, according to the order, was at the woman’s apartment.
AJ Ferrari’s lawyer, Derek Chance issued this statement to O’Colly co-editor-in-chief Adam
Engel, which Engel shared via Twitter.
As more information comes along, we’ll either update this post or create a new one.
