The Big 12 baseball tournament will reportedly head south to the Texas Rangers’ new ballpark, Globe Life Field, a source tells Jacob Unruh of The Oklahoman.

The tournament will remain at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark in Oklahoma City, home of the Dodgers’ Triple-A affiliate, until the three-year agreement with the Rangers starts in 2022. A press conference is set for Wednesday to officially announce the move at Texas’ ballpark, which will open this season.

The baseball tournament will be the second major Big 12 championship event in Arlington, joining the football game, which is played down the street at Cowboys Stadium.

Oklahoma State has won three Big 12 tournament titles, including two in the past three years in 2017 and 2019.

The Cowboys, who were picked second in the Big 12 preseason poll last month, open their 2020 season with a three-game series Friday, Feb. 14 against Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona.
