Oklahoma State coach Mike Boynton nabbed an excellent in-state commit for the 2020 recruiting cycle in four-star shooting guard Rondel Walker out of Putnam City West on Thursday night.

At the most recent Nike EYBL circuit, Walker posted a 10.2/4.4/2.7 statline while playing for the Texas Titans alongside OSU targets Cade Cunningham and Mike Miles. That connection could result in all three ending up Cowboys by the end of this cycle, but that’s all speculation at this point (wildly fun speculation, but I digress).
Walker committed to the Cowboys over offers from 12 other schools including Arkansas, Kansas State, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Texas and Virginia Tech.

After taking official visits to OSU, Virginia Tech and Kansas State, Walker made the decision to stay home and play for Coach Boynton, joining what will hopefully end up being the best recruiting class in recent memory.
With this being their only firm commitment so far, the Cowboys currently hold the 51st ranked class.
