Plenty of people — from fans of Oklahoma State, to former players, to national media personalities, to our own podcast — have voiced their displeasure with the Naismith Memorial Hall of Fame’s decision to, for the sixth time, not vote former OSU basketball coach Eddie Sutton into its halls.
Now, so too have too of OSU’s most prominent figures; Mike Gundy and Mike Boynton. The two men shared their thoughts this week. Gundy was asked about the situation at spring practice and did not hold back.

Boynton chose to release a statement on Twitter.

These are pretty on-brand responses from each coach if you ask me. Boynton and Gundy echoed the sentiments of so many others on Twitter. Sutton is a Hall of Fame caliber coach, and that is all that matters at this point. Unfortunately, the odds are that I’ll be writing another post similar to this one next year. Hopefully the Hall of Fame decides that enough is enough and lets Sutton in next year.
