For the third time in the annual battle between the Big 12 and the SEC on the hardwood, Oklahoma State will play against Arkansas in the Big 12/SEC Challenge, the conferences announced Wednesday. Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports first reported the news.
All 10 games in the Big 12/SEC Challenge will be Saturday, Jan. 30, with the Cowboys hosting the Razorbacks at Gallagher-Iba Arena. Tip-off times are to-be-determined.
The Cowboys won the first meeting 99-71 in 2017 in Stillwater. OSU then traveled to Fayetteville the following season, losing in the final seconds 66-65. The Cowboys lead the all-time series 23-6 against the Razorbacks, including a 13-3 mark in Stillwater.
OSU is 5-2 in the Big 12/SEC Challenge, including last year’s 73-62 win at Texas A&M. Big 12 teams are 40-30 (.571) in the Big 12/SEC Challenge after a tie in 2020. The Big 12 has a yearly Challenge record of 4-1-2 with wins in 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2019.
