Brady Manek scored 30 points, including 22 in the half, to help Oklahoma take the first Bedlam game of the year with an 82-69 win against Oklahoma State on Saturday at Lloyd Noble Center in Norman.
Austin Reaves had 21 points and six assists and Alondes Williams added 12 points for the Sooners (14-7, 4-4 Big 12), who are 3-2 against OSU head coach Mike Boynton with all three victories in Norman. The Bedlam foes clash again Saturday, Feb. 22 in Stillwater.
Cameron McGriff and Thomas Dziagwa each had 15 points for OSU (10-11, 0-8), which fell below .500 for the first time this season after a 7-0 start in non-conference play. McGriff also pulled down a team-high eight rebounds. Isaac Likekele had 10 points and six assists.
Manek was hot from the start with 17 points in the opening eight minutes as the Sooners took control of the game early. He was effective from deep as he matched a career best seven 3-pointers in the game.
OU took a 43-30 halftime lead and kept on dunking in the second half.
The Sooners shot 56 percent in the second, but the Cowboys couldn’t climb back to make it a respectable game.
