There will be a new Canadian Cowboy in Stillwater this year after Matthew-Alexander Moncrieffe committed to Oklahoma State on Friday.

Momentum truly picked up yesterday after the main recruiting analysts at 247Sports and Rivals logged predictions for MAM (mind if I abbreviate?) to the Pokes.

A four-star small-forward from Ontario, Moncrieffe held offers from Seton Hall, Georgetown, Florida, Iowa State and others. He brings versatility defensively and has a special skill for finishing at the basket. My instant thought was to compare him to current Cowboy Cameron McGriff, though he’ll need some time in the weight-room before he’s able to bully opponents at the Division-1 level like he can in high school.

With Cade Cunningham, Rondel Walker, and Montreal Pena already in the fold, Oklahoma State’s 2020 class moves to No. 9 nationally and No. 1 in the Big 12. The Cowboys still have two scholarships available to use in the 2020 class if they so choose.

Enjoy a few highlights from the Cowboy’s newest commit:
