Isaac Likekele will return to Oklahoma State for his junior season, according to Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.
After a disappointing season due do contracting mono, Likekele will be looking to redeem himself in the 2020-2021 season. Despite the time off, Likekele scored 284 points, including a season-high 26 points against Syracuse. He also scored the game-winner shot against Iowa State in the Big 12 conference tournament opener to lift the Cowboys into the second round against top-seeded Kansas before the NCAA canceled all winter sports due to COVID-19.
With Cade Cunningham — the No. 2 recruit in the nation from the 2020 class — making his debut, Likekele will have a fantastic partner in the back court.
While Likekele’s return was expected, it’s nice to have confirmation.
