His storytelling was unmatched that day. He told stories in incredible about games played from years prior and exact scenarios in incredible detail. I had question after question and he answered every one with a smile on his face like I was family.

It might be several years too late, but Eddie Sutton will be part of the greatest basketball hall-of-fame class of all time — along with Tim Duncan, Kobe Bryant and Kevin Garnett.

The joy in the voice of Sean Sutton when he called me (his Dad was with him)earlier tonight was special. It was finally a glorious moment when they said EDDIE YOU ARE A HALL OF FAMER. 6 times he heard sorry remember it is an honor to be a finalist. Trust me I know that feeling.

Afterward, he came out for interviews, saw me and started doing the Rock Chalk Chant. I started laughing. He started laughing. He was just a genuinely lovely man. Again, I'm so very happy for him.

Congratulations, Eddie! 2/2
Congratulations to Coach Sutton & the Sutton family. This is a very joyous occasion. Former players offer a true indication as to the character of a coach. The comments I’ve heard over the years from Coach Sutton’s players reveal a heartfelt respect for him. It’s very genuine.

When you have the respect and admiration of US Presidents as well as custodians, Hollywood stars as well as gas station attendants, US Senators as well as arena ushers, you’ve done very well. All of us, across many walks of life, are excited to celebrate this wonderful honor

Good sports news is hard to come by these days, BUT MAN AM I PUMPED FOR THE SUTTON FAMILY! Finally got it right #GoPokes

Eddie Sutton should have been elected to the Basketball Hall of Fame years earlier -deservingly, I would add- when his body and mind were healthier. The wrong was finally righted but it’s a damn shame it didn’t happen until now.

I don’t care how long it took, this man deserves his recognition. One of my favorite first arguments with coach went like this “Coach are we forcing the ball to the baseline or the middle” Coach “Neither” Me “Yeah but where is the help” Coach” Guard your man or help me Coach!” pic.twitter.com/6YA3T9ZyLq

I use to think me and coach had a love Hate relationship. I got older and realized it was all love. He never stopped coaching me hard , always held me accountable and expected more out of me than I expected of myself. Congrats coach welcome to the Hall of Fame I love you.
