Legendary college basketball coach Eddie Sutton, who won more than 800 games and was the first coach to take four different schools to the NCAA men’s basketball tournament, died Saturday of natural causes, his family said in a statement. He was 84.
Sutton won 806 games with three Final Four appearances during his career between Creighton, Arkansas, Kentucky and Oklahoma State. He guided OSU — his alma mater — to the Final Four in 1995 and 2004, and made the postseason in 14 of his 17 years at the helm in Stillwater.
