While we still await the release of Oklahoma State’s full 2020-21 non-conference schedule, we now know the first piece of the Cowboys’ 2021-22 non-conference slate.

OSU will be one of the four teams in the 2021 Legends Classic at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, according to CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein. The Cowboys will reportedly be joined by Northwestern, UCLA and Virginia.

OSU is 2-4 in the all-time series against the Bruins, with four straight losses since defeating UCLA in 1959 and 1960. The Cowboys hold a 72-69 victory against Cavaliers from 1975. OSU has never faced the Wildcats.

While it’s hard to speculate what each team will look like in 2021, that’s a solid slate of potential opponents for the Cowboys.

OSU last took part in the Legends Classic in 2017 during in coach Mike Boynton’s first season. The Cowboys went 1-, losing to Texas A&M 52-77 before beating Pittsburgh 73-67.

This will mark the third time in a five-year stretch OSU will play in a neutral-site tournament in Boynton’s hometown of Brooklyn. The Cowboys won the NIT Season Tip-Off last season, defeating Syracuse and Ole Miss.
