Yor Anei will transfer from Oklahoma State, according to college basketball insider Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports. Jacob Unruh of The Oklahoman confirmed Rothstein’s report.

Anei, who will be a junior next season, will file a waiver to gain immediate eligibility to be able to play wherever he chooses to transfer. The 6-foot-10 Anei averaged 8.1 points-per-game, 4.7 rebounds-per-game and 1.9 blocks-per-game last season for the Cowboys.

Anei was a talented shot blocker and would have likely been OSU’s starting center next season.

Anei is the first player to transfer from OSU since the program was given a one-year postseason ban by the NCAA on June 5 for violations uncovered in an FBI investigation. OSU has stated since the ruling it will appeal the decision.
