Bodie Reeder, offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach at FCS Eastern Washington, tells Ryan Collingwood of The Spokane Review that he has not been offered a position at Oklahoma State. Pistols Firing Blog reported sources telling them that Reeder wasn’t headed to OSU earlier this morning.
Earlier Wednesday, a report from FootballScoop said OSU offered a contract to Reeder but did not state what the position was.
The 32-year-old Reeder recently finished his second season with EWU. The Eagles advanced to the FCS championship game before falling 38-24 to North Dakota State last Saturday in Frisco, Texas.
EWU ranked third in the FCS in total offense this season.
Before joining EWU, Reeder worked from 2014-16 at OSU as a quality control coach, and handled the quarterbacks. He played the position from 2006-09 at Eastern Illinois.
If Reeder does join OSU’s staff, he’d likely coach the quarterbacks. Gundy has not stated how he plans to delegate offensive coordinator and/or playcalling duties next season after Mike Yurcich left the Cowboys to join Ohio State as passing game coordinator/quarterbacks coach.
