Oklahoma State running back Chuba Hubbard received a message Wednesday from the greatest hockey player of all time — Wayne Gretzky.
The Edmonton Oilers sent a video message from “The Great One” via Twitter to Hubbard campaigning for the Sherwood Park, Alberta native to win the Heisman Trophy as the best player in college football. Hubbard leads the nation with 1,094 rushing yards and his 13 rushing touchdowns rank second.
“Hi, Chuba. This is Wayne Gretzky. I just wanted to pass on our congratulations from everyone in the Edmonton. We’re all really proud of you. Keep going.”
