College Football Playoff rankings: Oklahoma State stays at No. 21

Ohio State overtakes LSU as the No. 1 team following the Buckeyes’ win over Penn State.

Oklahoma State stayed put at No. 21 for the second straight week in the College Football Playoff rankings.

The Cowboys have won fourth consecutive Big 12 games, and host Bedlam rival No. 7 Oklahoma on Saturday night in Stillwater. The Sooners slid up two spots following a 28-24 home win over TCU.

Ohio State took the No. 1 spot over LSU. The Buckeyes held off No. 8 Penn State 28-17 in Columbus, while the Tigers handled Arkansas 56-20 at home. Both Clemson and Georgia held the No. 3 and 4 spots, respectively.

Alabama and Utah were the top two teams on the outside of the top four as Oregon slid from No. 6 to No. 14 after the Ducks’ 31-28 loss at Arizona State.

Along with OU and OSU, the Big 12 has No. 9 Baylor and No. 23 Iowa State in the top 25. The Bears jumped five spots after a 24-10 home win against Texas, and the Cyclones slid back one spot after their 41-31 win against Kansas.
