Josh Sills will play in the Big 12 next season, but it won’t be for West Virginia.
The offensive guard announced Tuesday via Twitter that he’ll be transferring to Oklahoma State for his final two years and pursue a master’s degree in Agriculture.
Sills saying he has two years remaining indicates he will receive a medical redshirt after playing only two games in 2019 before having season-ending shoulder surgery. The 6-foot-6, 326-pound Sills was a second-team all-Big 12 player as a sophomore in 2018 and a preseason all-Big 12 pick this year. He played 27 games at WVU.
The Cowboys will likely slot Sills in at left guard in 2020 with the graduation of Marcus Keyes.
Couldn’t be anymore excited to complete my Masters in Agriculture while playing my last two years in Stillwater for Coach @CoachGundy pic.twitter.com/8e1G3kylth

West Virginia's Josh Sills says Mike Gundy looks like he puts too much effort into his mullet. "I just put a hat on in the morning and I'm ready to go." pic.twitter.com/QkLvZgtm1S
