Oklahoma State is in a top-25 slot in CBS Sports’ preseason poll at No. 25 behind former Big 12 foe Nebraska. The Cowboys finished outside the top-40 in the final ballot last year.
This year the Cowboys will try to regroup after a disappointing 2018 when they finished 7-6, but defeated Missouri in the Liberty Bowl. OSU will be led by either Spencer Sanders or Dru Brown (or maybe both?) at quarterback and new offensive coaches Sean Glesson and Charlie Dickey. With several question marks surrounding the Cowboys it’s surprising to see them crack the top-25.
The SEC and Big 10 lead the way with six teams each in the top-25. Alabama comes in at No. 2 after being dominated by Clemson in the College Football Playoff national championship game.
The Big 12 has four teams in the top-25 with Oklahoma (No. 3), Texas (No. 9), Iowa State (No. 16) and OSU.
