Oklahoma State will kick off at 3 p.m. on Halloween against Texas at Boone Pickens Stadium in Stillwater, the Big 12 announced Monday. The game will be televised on FOX.
The No. 6-ranked Cowboys (3-0, 2-0 Big 12) had two straight bye weeks after their game Oct. 17 at Baylor was postponed to Dec. 12 because of because of a “significant increase in positive COVID-19 cases” among the Bears football program. OSU will return to action this week against No. 17 Iowa State (3-1, 2-0), which is coming off a bye week, at 2:30 p.m. on FOX.
Texas (2-2, 1-2) had a bye week after losing two straight to TCU, 33-31, and to Oklahoma, 53-45 in quadruple-overtime. The Longhorns are scheduled to host Baylor this week at 2:30 p.m. on ESPN.
The Cowboys trail the all-time series against the Longhorns 25-9, but had won four straight before last year’s 36-30 loss at Texas. OSU has won the past two meetings in Stillwater, 38-35 in 2018 and 49-31 in 2016.
