Tylan Wallace was named one of 55 players to the 2020 Biletnikoff Award preseason watch list Thursday by The Tallahassee Quarterback Club Foundation, Inc.

The Oklahoma State wide receiver was a 2018 first team All-American and finalist for the award, which recognizes the college football season’s outstanding FBS receiver. Any player, regardless of position who catches a pass is eligible for the award.

His junior season was cut short due to a torn ACL during practice, but he still put up great numbers in only eight games. He caught 53 passes for 903 yards, including four 100-yard games, and eight touchdowns in eight games. The Cowboys went 3-2 the rest of the season without Wallace to finish 8-5.

Wallace ranks sixth in program history with 2,512 receiving yards and is tied for sixth with 20 receiving touchdowns. He has 11 games with 100 or more receiving yards in the past two seasons.

Four other Big 12 pass catchers made the preseason watch list: Baylor’s Tyquan Thornton, Iowa State’s Charlie Kolar, Kansas’ Andrew Parchment and Oklahoma’s Charleston Rambo.

The semifinalist for the Biletnikoff Award are scheduled to be announced Nov. 16 and finalists will be unveiled Nov. 23. The winner will be revealed Dec. 10 on The Home Depot College Football Awards on ESPN.
