Chuba Hubbard was named the 2020 preseason Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year on Thursday by the conference. The Oklahoma State running back won the award in 2019 after a breakout sophomore season.
Hubbard, a 2019 Doak Walker Award finalist as the best running back in the country, led the FBS in rushing yards (1,936), rushing yards per game (161.3), yards after contact (1,191), all-purpose yards (2,161), all-purpose yards per game (180.1) and rushes of at least 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80 and 90 yards.
On Wednesday, Hubbard was named to the 2020 preseason watch list for the Doak Walker Award.
Hubbard was among four players OSU players named to the 2020 All-Big 12 preseason team, joining offensive tackle Teven Jenkins, defensive back Kolby Harvell-Peel and wide receiver Tylan Wallace.
