Big 12 football teams will play 10 games in 2020 with nine conference matchups and one nonconference contest after the League’s presidents and chancellors approved the schedule modeling Monday. The Athletic first reported the Big 12’s decision.
Oklahoma State currently has two nonconference home games in Stillwater on its schedule with Tulsa and FCS Western Illinois. The Cowboys will play one of them then move to a nine-game conference season.

The Big 12’s decision falls in line with the other Power 5 leagues. The Big Ten, SEC and Pac-12 will each play 10 conference games, while the ACC will have a 10+1 model.
The Big 12 has not released dates for games.
The Cowboys are slated to host their home opener Sept. 12 against Tulsa at Boone Pickens Stadium.
