Oklahoma State transfer Tay Martin will be eligible to play for the Cowboys during the upcoming 2020 season, the wide receiver announced Friday night on Twitter.
The 6-foot-3, 186-pound Martin announced he would transfer to OSU on Aug. 22 from Washington State, which is in the Pac-12 and will not play football this year amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Martin had 1,615 yards and 18 touchdowns on 143 receptions in 36 games during his three-year career at WSU.
With No. 1 already taken on offense by redshirt senior receiver Landon Wolf, Martin will shift from No. 1 to No. 4. Redshirt freshman running back Deondrick Glass, who previously had No. 4 will now wear No. 33.
The Cowboys are still waiting on a NCAA waiver decision for sophomore defensive tackle Collin Clay, who transferred from Arkansas in late December.
OSU kicks off its season against in-state, non-conference foe Tulsa at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 12 at Boone Pickens Stadium in Stillwater.
