Oklahoma State’s Viktor Hovland, the 2018 U.S. Amateur champion of Norway, is currently the low amateur with a 36-hole total of 1 under at Augusta National Golf Club for the 83rd edition of the Masters.

Hovland has a 1-shot lead over Mexico’s Alvaro Ortiz, the Latin American Amateur champion. Japan’s Takumi Kanaya, the Asia-Pacific Amateur champion, is sitting at 3 over, along with UCLA’s Devon Bling, the U.S. Amateur runner-up.

OSU had four other players make the cut: Charles Howell III, Rickie Fowler, Kevin Tway and Alex Noren.

Howell III leads the Cowboy contingent at 4-under and is tied for 12th, but is only two shots off the lead. There’s a five-way tie atop the leaderboard with Francesco Molinaro, Jason Day, Brooks Koepka, Adam Scott and Louis Oosthuizen — all major winners.

Fowler shot a 1-under par Friday to put him in a tied for 15th at 3-under for the tournament. Tway is at 1-under in 29th place and Noren is a 3-over par in a share for 57th place.

Television coverage will begin at 2 p.m. on CBS, and will be simulcast on Masters.com.
