Owens had 31 tackles, including 23 solo stops, six quarterback sacks and one forced fumble during his senior season. The 6-foot-3, 265-pound Palestine, Texas native will join former Cowboy cornerbacks Ashton Lampkin and Lenzy Pipkins in Cleveland, who went 7-8-1 last season after going 0-16 in 2017.
Owens is the second Cowboy to sign as an undrafted free agent Saturday after wide receiver Tyron Johnson inked a deal with the Texans. OSU also had two players drafted this weekend with running back Justice Hill going in the fourth round to the Ravens, while defensive end Jordan Brailford was selected with the second-to-last pick in the draft by the Redskins.
