Kyle Crutchmer, a former two-time Big 12 champion and two-time NCAA All-American wrestler at Oklahoma State, announced Thursday that he will fight Kemran Lachinov in a welterweight prelim bout Thursday, Oct. 15 at Bellator 249.
Crutchmer announced last month he would fight on the card, but did not name his opponent. The bout will be at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut, marking this his first fight outside the state of Oklahoma.
The Tulsa Union product is undefeated with a 6-0 record and 2-0 mark in Bellator. Lachinov (8-2) is on a seven-fight win streak, which includes three wins in Bellator.
The Bellator 249 card will be at the Mohegan Sun Arena, where Bellator and Showtime Boxing have shared a COVID-free “bubble” during most of the coronavirus pandemic. The card will be headlined by Cris Cyborg defending her featherweight championship against Arlene Blencowe in the promotion’s debut on CBS Sports Network.
