Oklahoma State in NFL: Dan Bailey signs 3-year extension with Minnesota Vikings

The former Oklahoma State walk-on kicker will remain in Minnesota.

Former Oklahoma State walk-on kicker Dan Bailey signed a three-year contract extension with the Minnesota Vikings on Thursday.

Bailey, who turned 32 in January, was 27-for-29 (93.1 percent) on field goals, 40-for-44 (90.9 percent) on point-after attempts and 66-for-87 (75.8 percent) on kickoffs for touchbacks in his second season with Minnesota. His field goal percentage ranked fourth in the NFL.

Bailey spent the first seven seasons of his career with the Dallas Cowboys after signing as an undrafted free agent in 2011. The 2015 Pro Bowler is 234-for-268 (87.3%) on field goals and 346-for-353 (98%) on PATs in his career.
