Former Oklahoma State Cowboys offensive tackle Russell Okung has reportedly been traded by the Chargers to the Panthers for offensive guard Trai Turner, according to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network.
Okung played in six games in 2019 after he suffered pulmonary embolism in the offseason that kept him on the sidelines for the first seven weeks then a groin injury ruled him out for the final three weeks. Okung will reunite in Carolina with his former offensive line coach Pat Meyer.
Okung, a Super Bowl XLVIII champion and two-time Pro Bowler (2012, 2017), has made 118 starts with the Seahawks (2010-15), Broncos (2016) and Chargers (2017-2020) since he was selected sixth overall in the 2010 NFL draft by Seattle.
