Justin Phillips will have another opportunity to show he belongs in the NHL after he re-signed with the Raiders on Wednesday.
The former Oklahoma State linebacker had seven tackles, including three on special teams, in four games for the Raiders last season. Phillips joined the Raiders’ practice squad before the start of the season after he was cut from the Cowboys’ roster. He signed with Dallas as undrafted free agent.
The 2020 season will mark the Raiders’ inaugural season in Las Vegas after moving from Oakland.
Phillips had 221 tackles (146 solo), 6.5 sacks, three interceptions (two returned for touchdown), six forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries in 42 games from 2014-2018 during his OSU career.
