Jawun Evans announced his commitment today to play for Travis Ford, and the Oklahoma State Cowboys. Evans is a member of the 2015 class, and big get for the Pokes. Rivals lists him as a 4-star PG, and 247Sports gives him a full 5 stars and ranks him the third best PG in the country. He also ranks high on ESPN's Top 100 at 36.
Pistols Firing out of Dallas!!! Go Pokes!!!

The decision came down to Oklahoma State and Illinois, as it was thought the two were the frontrunners to land the talented PG
"Oklahoma State was the right fit for me," Evans said according to ESPN. "Coach Ford was a point guard, and I feel I can learn under him. I really liked their drills. They are intense, and they will get me better."
The Cowboys still have 2 scholarships available for the 2015 class, and now all eyes turn to Elijah Thomas. Thomas is a 5-Star big man according to Rivals, and is close friends with Evans. At one point it was thought the two would be "a package deal", but that yet remains to be seen. It is believed that Thomas' decision could also come down to Oklahoma State and Illinois.
Travis Ford continues to recruit well, hopefully it can come together on the court for the Cowboys.
