Diamond Stone Sets Visit to Oklahoma State

Travis Ford has been hard at work on the recruiting trail, and the Cowboys got some good news when Diamond Stone announced he will be taking an official visit to Oklahoma State.

Earlier in the week Travis Ford landed one of the best point guards in the country. Now it seems Oklahoma State is also a frontrunner to land what 247Sports considers to be the best center in the country, and Rivals lists as the 5th best recruit overall.

Diamond Stone set two of his five available official visits, and up first is Oklahoma State. The 6' 10", 253 pound big man will come to Stillwater on October 10th, before traveling to Maryland on October 17th.

"Those are the only solid dates," Bob Stone said via Inside MD Sports. "We've been trying to make an educated decision and not an emotional one. Last year there were, what, 1000 transfers in college basketball? We don't want to be on that list."

Uconn, Wisconsin, and Duke are also considered to be high on Diamond's list.

Stone could end up taking the last remaining scholarship available for the 2015 class. The Cowboys actually have two scholarships left unclaimed, but are hoping 5-star power forward Elijah Thomas will claim one of those. Oklahoma State is the currently the favorite to land Thomas, but Illinois could still have something to say about that.

Travis Ford continues to dominate on the recruiting trail, and 2015 could shape up to be a banner year for the Cowboys.
