2016 RB Recruit, Justice Hill, Commits to Oklahoma State

Oklahoma State added 3-star running back, Justice Hill, as the first commit of 2016

Cory Young | Tulsa World

Justice Hill is a 3-star running back prospect out of Tulsa, OK for the 2016 class. Last season he rushed for 1426 yards, averaging 142.6 yards per game for Booker T. Washington. Oklahoma State was the first Division 1 school to offer Hill when Coach Gundy made the offer after Hill attended the Cowboy's Junior Day in January. Today Justice took Gundy up on the offer.

Hill will increase the depth of a position in much need of it. Hill is 5'10" 185 lbs, and averaged 6.5 yards per carry last season. Before committing to the Cowboys he was receiving interest from Missouri, Northwestern, Oklahoma, and Texas Tech among others. It is still early to tell how Hill will fit into the Cowboys roster in 2016, but at this point I would expect a redshirt season.

Hill runs with excellent vision, he shows a knack for recognizing the hole and making his initial cut with acceleration. Downfield he has an ability to make people miss. He runs with power, despite his lack of size, he also demonstrates a great ability to catch the ball out of the backfield. Hill is fast, but maybe not elite speed. With the speed of Big 12 defenses he will need to become more of a north-south runner, or east-west in BPS. Overall, Hill is a very promising prospect for the Cowboys backfield. With his senior season still to play, I would expect Hill to be a very solid playmaker in the future.
