Oklahoma State has landed the No. 2 overall ranked player in the 2020 class with Cade Cunningham’s commitment Tuesday night. The five-star combo guard, widely regarded as a future top pick in the NBA draft once he’s eligible, chose the Cowboys over offers from Kentucky, North Carolina, Florida, Washington and others.

Cunningham represents everything OSU coach Mike Boynton is trying to build in Stillwater; championship caliber players capable of playing championship level basketball.
When his brother, Cannen, was announced as an OSU assistant coach several months ago, many within the recruiting world thought the race for the prized prospect was essentially over as schools began to back away from recruiting him. But in the last few weeks, Kentucky and North Carolina made a massive push to nab him.
Even though Cannen is on staff, the fact Cade still chose the Pokes over the likes of several blue-bloods is a massive win for Coach Boynton and the Cowboys. Cade gives them a potential program-altering talent that will instantly make them a force to be reckoned with not only in the Big 12, but across all of college basketball.
The 2020-21 season could no doubt be magical. Pack GIA, folks. Boynton is the real deal.
