Football Recruiting: Two new offers, 2021 OT schedules visit

OSU’s new offers include an in-state prospect and a talented defensive end

Oklahoma State coaches are working hard to line-up the next class of Cowboys. Along with offers to a talented 2020 defensive end, they’ve targeted an under-the-radar in-state prospect and are expecting a visit from a another 2021 prospect.

OSU Offers 4-Star Defensive End Chantz Williams

Oklahoma State joins 22 other schools in the pursuit of highly talented 2020 DE Chantz Williams. Among the other programs pursuing the 6-foot-3, 221-pound prospect are Alabama, Michigan, Florida, Miami, LSU, Clemson, Texas, Tennessee, Mississippi State, Florida State, and Georgia, among others.

I wouldn’t get too excited about the offer. Williams just released a top-5 a few days ago that included Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Miami, and Florida State.

Also, Williams is reportedly a packaged deal with his teammate and good friend 4-star offensive lineman Jalen Rivers. At this point, OSU has not extended a scholarship offer to Rivers, though could likely change sometime soon.

As for why Williams is so highly coveted? Take a look at his highlights and you’ll quickly understand.

OSU Offers 2021 Beggs, Ok Safety

The Cowboys are now the third program to get in early on Kendal Daniels, an under-the-radar safety out of Beggs. Iowa State and Arkansas are the other two programs to have extended a scholarship.

Daniels played both receiver and safety for Beggs during his sophomore season. He also averages 22 points a game for the Demons’ basketball team.

While Daniels is currently unranked, I have a feeling that will change

2021 Offensive Tackle Sets Visit

Highly sought-after offensive tackle Cullen Montgomery will be making a visit to Stillwater in April. The currently unranked 2021 recruit from Bellaire, Texas announced on Twitter that he is planning to visit OU during their Spring Game on April 13th. He followed that tweet up with one about making a stop in Stillwater.

Along with the Sooners and Cowboys, Montgomery has offers from Michigan State, Nebraska, Syracuse, TCU, and SMU. Most of his offers have come since the start of 2019, and the offers don’t look to slow down any time soon.

Montgomery has already made a visit to TCU and plans to make stops at Nebraska and SMU this year.

OSU Target Mookie Cooper Picks Texas

One of Oklahoma State’s 2020 targets has committed to play for the Longhorns.

OSU offered Cooper back in December. They were one of 27 programs to target the 4-star athlete, including Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, OU, Ohio State, Wisconsin, Michigan, and LSU.
